Brief
The theater troupe OKRET TEATAR, whose work focuses on obligatory school books, requested a visual identity overhaul and a complete scenography for a new play.
Given the focus on well established classical literary works, there were from the very beginning some given constraints. Staying faithful to the original era in every respect was imperative. In other words, every unnecessary modernization should be avoided.
Logo
The Logo should revolve around the following key elements – as many as possible: wheels, masks, curtains, book, vehicle, etc. All of which are closely related to the nature of a traveling theater and were decided upon in a brainstorming session by actors themselves. Ideally, it should consist of a text in a suitable font and be accompanied by a sign. It was important to leave a possibility for local organizers to easily reconstruct a matching logo using the original typeface, even when they can’t use a press kit.

Scenography
The Scenography consists of three panels for each act. A warm house surrounding and a cold bureaucratic police station office. All of the panels were made by mixing techniques of digital collage and digital painting. Lightness and mobility of the scene were the main requirements since the whole play has to be set up and packed in a short time. Preferably fitting in one or two cars.
Poster
The Poster is distinguished by clear forms and strong colors with a hint of a background story. We are aiming at high visual impact and artistic quality.
